The Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced the date of commencement of the availability of application forms for Nursery school admission 2024-25.

As per the DoE guidelines, the date of commencement of the admission process and availability of forms begins from December 01, 2024 and will close on December 23, 2024. The last date of submission of application forms in school is noticed on school notice board/information available on school contact no. 8470084900.

What is the minimum age for admission in the Nursery?

• For Pre-School (Nursery) the minimum age limit as of March 31, 2024, is 4 years and the maximum age limit is less than 5 years.
• Hence, a child born from March 31, 2020, to March 31, 2021, is eligible for Nursery.
• For Pre-Primary (KG), the minimum age limit as of March 31, 2023, is 5 years and the maximum age limit is less than 6 years.
• Hence, a child born from March 31, 2019, to March 31, 2020, is eligible for pre-primary.
• For Class 1, the minimum age limit as of March 31, 2024, is 6 years and the maximum age limit is less than 7 years.
• Hence, a child born from March 31, 2018, to March 31, 2019, is eligible for Class 1.

What are the documents required as Proof of Address for Delhi Nursery school?

• Aadhar Card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parents
• Ration Card/Smart Card issued in the name of the parents (child name included)
• Domicile certificate of child or the parents
• Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents
• Electricity Bill/MTNL Telephone Bill/Water Bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or child

What documents are mandatory for Nursery admission for 2024-25?

• Passport-sized photo of the Child, Child’s Father and Mother/Guardian
  The passport photograph with a white background and shouldn’t be older than 3 months.
• Single Family Photo
  A single photograph of the family (including parents and the child) with a white background shouldn’t be older than 3 months.
• Birth Certificate of the Child
  Issued by the Municipal Corporation, the certificate must have clear and relevant details. The Registrar of Birth must countersign the Child’s name and date of birth.
• Medical Fitness Certificate of the Child
  Issued by a registered Medical Practitioner, the certificate should have information on Blood Group, Allergies (if any), vaccination etc.
• Aadhar Card of the Child, Father and Mother, or Guardian
  The front and back sides of the Aadhar Card must be submitted, showing all the information clearly.

Reservation of seats for Nursery school admission

As per the DoE guidelines, out of 48 seats 75% of the seats are reserved for the General category. According to the Right to Education Act, 25% (22% + 3%) of the seats are reserved for the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and DG Category.
